Who is an Early Career Member?

Early Career Members are any members of SFS who have completed their terminal degree within the last 10 years.
If you are an Early Career member, you are welcome at early career events, which provide the opportunity for young professional members of the society to learn from each other's experience.

EARLY CAREER MIXER
Wednesday, May 23, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm; No charge
Location – Anchor Bar - 450 W Fort St

The Early Career Mixer is a new event providing a casual opportunity for early career members to meet and network. The event is aimed at SFS members who have finished their terminal degree within the last 10 years. Location (Anchor Bar) convenient to the COBO Center and the Detroit Princess Riverboat. Cash/credit bar will be available.

EARLY CAREER WORKSHOP
Thursday, May 24, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm; Cost: $15; Capacity: 20
COBO Center – 313AB

The Early Career Workshop will focus on student mentoring and training. Panelists from a range of institutions will lead the discussion, and the scope will include both undergraduate and graduate mentoring. Open to SFS members who have finished their terminal degree within the last 10 years. Lunch is included.
