Carla López Lloreda

I’m a PhD candidate from Puerto Rico working in the Hotchkiss Lab at Virginia Tech. I received my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras and after graduating, worked as a research technician in El Yunque National Forest.

I am broadly interested in aquatic biogeochemistry and water resources and my graduate work focuses on understanding greenhouse gas dynamics in small headwater wetlands in the Mid-Atlantic United States and coastal freshwater wetlands in Puerto Rico.
